Discover Dogs autumn version has for some years been held at Earls Court in London, but this year was the last time. Next year it will be held a little earlier in the year and will be held over the weekend 17th and 18th October, at new location the Excel centre in east London. This year our breed was represented by Abby and myself on the Saturday, and by Carol Wedge and Brenda Williams on the Sunday – of course with our willing dog companions. Both days were well attended and at times we were very busy. Many visitors were there as it was an opportunity to see representatives of all breeds recognised by the Kennel Club, giving a chance to narrow down their choice of a dog to choose in the future. All came because of a love for dogs. Many visitors are from overseas, maybe now living in or near London, or being here on a short term basis. For us, all are equally welcome. Between us we greeted people from near and far, especially on Sunday from Finland, but also from European and Asian countries, and even from South America.

Discover Dogs will be held next at Crufts, but then over four days.
