At the Society’s Open show on 25th October, Irene Slater had 15 dogs to judge. (Although Irene is a member of the Society’s committee she was not when she was appointed). Fortunately with dry weather we were able to hold the judging outside, thanks in part to the sterling work of two sweepers in clearing fallen leaves from the ring. BIS was Karen, Clive and Karl Marriott’s Sukunimi Charlie at only his second show this year. RBD was Clare and Brian Masters’ Toveri Peni – also BV. In bitches, BB was Hannah and Rob Thompson and Angela Cavill’s Toveri Tuula, with RBB going to Abby Rolfe’s Enkelini Niinkaunis. BP was Steve and Alison Piearce’s S Tiger Rosie. We were also able to welcome three couples who have an interest in the breed, one couple already have their puppy, and another will be collecting theirs in late November. Following the show the committee held a meeting, during which we were able to approve membership applications from two couples.
