IMPORTANT NOTE 

Because of the COVID-19 situation, only 2 of the shows listed below actually took place in 2020 (Manchester and Crufts).  Most shows were cancelled.  The only exceptions to this were the specialist shows organised by the 2 Breed Clubs Finnish Spitz Club and Finnish Spitz Society.  The Kennel Club allowed them to postpone their 2020 shows and carry them over to 2021 when they may hold 2 shows in that year.  In the list they are marked as follows:

   Shows that took place as scheduled in 2020.
   Shows that were postponed in 2020 with the option to carry them over to 2021 
   Shows that were permanently cancelled for 2020

However, it may not be exhaustive. It is possible that other Open Shows will have one or more classes for the breed. Championship Shows – the number of Challenge Certificates awarded for Finnish Spitz are shown in brackets (0) or (2).

Important changes for 2019 and 2020 compared to 2018:

In 2018, there were 14 Championship shows each offering 2 CCs (1 dog, 1 bitch) for the Finnish Spitz breed.  The Kennel Club designated 4 of these shows (Crufts, Birmingham National, Scottish Kennel Club, Welsh Kennel Club) as “representative shows” and they were required to offer CCs for all breeds including Finnish Spitz.  The remaining 10 CCs were offered by 7 regional shows (Manchester, WELKS, Blackpool, Bournemouth, City of Birmingham, Richmond, LKA), 1 group show (Houndshow), and 2 breed club shows (Finnish Spitz Club, Finnish Spitz Society).
For 2019 and 2020, the Kennel Club has designated a further 6 shows (Manchester, Bath, Windsor, Leeds City & District, Darlington, LKA) as “all-breed championship shows“.  2 of these  (Manchester, LKA) already offered CCs. 3 others (Bath, Windsor, Darlington) already offered classes without CCs, and 1 (Leeds City & District) didn’t previously have classes for Finnish Spitz.  These 4 shows offering CCs for the first time in 2019 are marked *.in the list of shows below.
All 10 of the “all-breed championship shows” and a further 4 shows will each offer 2 CCs for Finnish Spitz in 2019 and 2020.  Those additional 4 shows are 1 regional show (Richmond), 1 group show (Houndshow), and the 2 breed club shows,
This means that the total number of shows offering CCs will remain at 14 in 2020.  However, it also means that 4 shows (WELKS, Blackpool, Bournemouth, City of Birmingham) that previously offered 2 CCs will no longer do so in 2020.  They are marked ** and shown in italics in the list of shows below, Of these, Bournemouth and City of Birmingham may continue to offer classes for the breed in 2020 (as they did in 2019), WELKS and Blackpool will not have classes. 

Schedules, entry forms, and other details for all General Championship shows and many Open shows can be viewed or downloaded at either Fosse Data, Higham Press, or Arena Print/Zooza websites when available. Entries and payments can also be made online at either Fosse Data, dog.biz, or Zooza sites. To view details on those sites click on “Higham“, “Fosse“, or “Arena” in the “Entries” column. If you prefer to send your entries and payments by post, printed show schedules can be picked up at many dog shows or obtained from the Show Secretary.
