The Finnish Spitz Society Open Show will NOT be held in 2021 and our rescheduled 40th Championship Show will instead be held on the date the Open show normally takes place Saturday 30th October 2021.
2020 Finnish Spitz Society Open Show
We have now decided that the Finnish Spitz Society Open Show will NOT be held in 2020 (usually last Saturday in October).
2019 Finnish Spitz Society Open Show
The 2019 Finnish Spitz Society Open Show was held on Saturday 26th October 2019 at Corley Village Hall, Church Lane, Corley, near Coventry CV7 8AZ. The Judge was Mr David Knights (Lelaps).
Doors opened at 10:00 am and Judging commenced at 11:00 am.

The 2018 Finnish Spitz Society Open Show was held on Saturday 27th October 2018 at Corley Village Hall, Church Lane, Corley, near Coventry CV7 8AZ. The Judge was Mrs Felicity Ash (Pihlaja).
Doors opened at 10:00 am and Judging commenced at 11;00 am.

2017 Finnish Spitz Society Open Show
The 2017 Finnish Spitz Society Open Show was held on Saturday 28th October 2017 at Corley Village Hall, Church Lane, Corley, near Coventry CV7 8AZ. The Judge was Mr. Tim Ball (Kaitak).
Doors opened at 9;30 am and Judging commenced at 11;00 am. Refreshments and a buffet lunch were available, a raffle took place, and a wide range of Finnish Spitz related items were available to purchase (10% discount for members of the Finnish Spitz Society). Balloons and posters on display in the Hall also marked the 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence.

My chosen breed is the Shar Pei and it is more than 30 years since my involvement with the breed began. I served on the committee of the Shar Pei Club of Great Britain for many years including a number of years as Chairman. During this time I played an active role in the Shar Pei being elevated to full Championship status in the UK. Currently I am Vice President of the Club and a number of years ago I was made an Honorary Life Member.
I judged Shar Pei at Crufts in 2000 and have officiated overseas on a number of occasions. I progressed to judge other breeds and currently I am approved to award Challenge Certificates in twenty breeds across the Utility, Toy, Working and Pastoral Groups plus I am approved to judge the Utility Group at Championship Show level.
Within the Utility Group, I am approved to judge a number of Spitz breeds and I successfully passed the Finnish Spitz judging assessment a few years ago. I am honoured to have been invited to judge your Club Show in October and look forward to spending time with your wonderful breed once again.
