29/07/13

Apologies for the lack of notes but it has become a real struggle to find things to report upon lately especially as the whole of July leaves us showless (or at least classless).  This does mean that August will have some notes though as we have 3 shows (with CCs) in 3 weeks.

WKC entry details are still not out yet but the Hound Show has an entry of 13 with 2 CCs and Bournemouth has an entry of just 5 with a single CC.  Unfortunately (?) we are on holiday for Bournemouth so that won’t have helped either.

I have a date for your 2014 diaries as follows:

I would like to introduce Spitz in the Park, a fun packed two days for all spitz lovers, organised by the Southern Finnish Lapphund Society and The Keeshond Club.  Following the success of the SFLS Lappylympic fun days, and the very enjoyable inter breed general knowledge quizzes run by Southern Finnish Lapphund Society, The Keeshond Club and the Samoyed Clubs, a new event has been conceived:

Spitz in the Park (SitP).

SitP is a fun packed weekend, with camping and caravan facilities for all spitz breeds, the theme of the weekend is Fun, Fun, and more Fun. We are planning lots of activities for everyone, and hope to include a selection from fun agility, spitzlympics, KC Good Citizen Testing, grooming workshops, show handling workshops, general knowledge quiz, BBQ and much much more…..
Spitz in the Park takes place on 19th & 20th July 2014 at Brailes Village Hall, OxoWe extend a warm welcome to all spitz enthusiasts and hope you will join us for a weekend for all the family, where laughs are guaranteed .
Please can I ask you to promote this event to your members through web sites and newsletters, asking everyone to check back to the web site for details as they unfold.
Invitations are being sent to all Spitz Breed Clubs, and we hope to have representatives from all breeds.
One of the key fun events will be the spitzlympics, where it would be great if we could have teams of each breed competing in fun races like egg & spoon, sack races etc
We intend to keep costs to a minimum for the participants and wonder if maybe your club/society would consider sponsoring any rosettes/prizes?
This is an opportunity to have fun and meet fellow spitz lovers, learn about the other breeds and make new friends, we hope you will give us your support.

All information will be available on the web site http://www.spitzinthepark.co.uk/  and our new Facebook page.

Best wishes
