Our entry at the National was better than that at WELKS with 15 dogs, of whom four were absent. The judge was Jeff Horswell. We had a first time CC winner, with BOB, in Terry Dalley’s Toveri Markku. RDCC was his sire, Hannah and Rob Thompson and Dave and Angela Cavill’s Kullervon Arras with T.

In bitches, with just four shown, the CC was won by Hannah, Rob and Angela’s Ch T Pella with RBCC to Tanja Mortimer’s T Maikki, litter sister of the BOB, so a clean sweep for the Toveris.

For the first time for a long time we were able to see Linda Anderson, who suffered a work injury to a foot some time ago. She expects to be off work for several more weeks but hopes to be able to get to the Society’s championship show in June. Terry Dalley also expects to be out of action for several months after a knee operation for which he will be going into hospital in mid-June. We shall all wish them well.

Our next show is at Bath, no CCs, where we have an entry of just four dogs. This is a little less than the small entries of recent years. We have identified three of the entrants, so it will be interesting to see who else is entered on the day.
